Wonder Village Co-op is a family-centered homeschool enrichment program designed to bring learning to life through hands-on experiences, meaningful friendships, and a strong sense of community.
Each year, we embark on a journey around the world, exploring different continents through science, history, geography, literature, art, music, nature, and culture. Our goal is to help children develop a deeper understanding of the world while fostering curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and connection.
This fall’s theme is Europe, where we’ll explore diverse countries, famous landmarks, inventions, artists, traditions, folklore, ecosystems, foods, and cultural celebrations through immersive projects and experiences.
Children are divided into age-based groups so activities can be tailored to their developmental level while still maintaining opportunities for mixed-age collaboration and community building. Our youngest learners participate in play-based exploration, sensory activities, stories, crafts, and movement, while older students engage in more advanced discussions, experiments, challenges, and project-based learning.
A typical co-op day includes:
✨ Community Gathering: A welcoming group meeting with announcements, games, icebreakers, and community-building activities.
🎵 Music & Movement: Songs, dance, yoga, active games, and cultural experiences connected to our theme.
🔎 Focused Learning Session One: Hands-on exploration through STEM, art, literature, history, geography, and cultural studies.
🍎 Lunch & Social Time
🌍 Focused Learning Session TwoCollaborative projects, experiments, outdoor learning, creative challenges, and enrichment activities.
🎉 Closing Activity: Reflection, sharing, games, presentations, and community celebrations.
Wonder Village is truly a cooperative experience, and parent participation is required. Although we have our lead teachers for each age group parents remain on-site and help support activities, facilitate small groups, assist with projects, and contribute their unique talents and interests. No teaching experience is necessary—just a willingness to be part of the village!
Throughout the year, families also enjoy special events, field trips, community service opportunities, celebrations, performances, and connections that extend beyond our weekly meetings.
Whether you’re new to homeschooling or a seasoned homeschool family, Wonder Village provides a welcoming environment where children and parents can learn, grow, and build lasting friendships together.
